Welcome to my blog. Prepare to go on a journey to the to another continent. I attend the University of Delaware and last winter session I had the opportunity to go and study abroad in Antarctica. I would like to share some of my stories and photos with all of you. Please tell me what you think of my photo's and ask me any questions that you have about Antarctica. Also, feel free to share your stories about study abroad.

Here at the University of Delaware we have an amazing study abroad program. Students from UD have been to all 7 continents. UD has a winter session that lasts about a month and it is when many of students chose to study abroad. My trip to Antarctica was a once in a lifetime experience and has truely changed my life.

Our journey started when we boarded the plane at the Philadelphia International Airport. From Philadelphia we flew to Argentina. Once we landed in Argentina we traveled to the very southern tip of Argentina which is where many Antarctic jouneys begin. We spent the day in the town of Ushuaia which is known as the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia is a very cool little place with alot of small shops and great restaurants. It's port is the starting point for many Antarctic expeditions and you see many tourists anxiously waiting to board their ships and head south. In the morning, we would board the ship and our jouney would begin.

Keep it coming! seems very interesting. try posting photos and also include hyperlinks in your posting. For example when you talk about Argentina, you can link the word "argentina" to a website that holds a lot of info about argentina!
